Espiritu Santo Island, Vanuatu Part 2

We stopped at the northern end of the island near Canon Point. We had to make our way in to the small sandy beach between rocks and coral and with small waves – now that was interesting having never sea-kayaked before! We both landed on shore, not too gracefully, but proud that we had managed not to overturn the kayaks. A short snack and explore then we sat trying to figure out how to get back out to sea again! The waves seemed to be getting bigger as the tide came in or maybe it was just looking at it from a different angle. Anyway we made a run for it and I timed it badly and smashed through 3 waves before I made it out – lucky everything that mattered was in the waterproof bag and everything was tied on to the kayak.
